Words by Dane Carlson Art by Esther Klinger

Meme's Disease
These four words they never please.
But yes, it’s true,
I got Meme’s Disease.
About my ailment I was not sure
Until the Doc confirmed
And said, “there’s no cure.”
But now this consumes my life
And I write this poem
To explain my strife.
Every word I speak or dream
Must in some way
Reference a Meme
I know you think this could be fun.
But trust me.
It sucks for everyone.
At first, I thought I may gain friends.
But nobody likes the boy,
That upon Memes depends.
So now I offer some simple advice.
Keep your Memes inside.
You’ll thank me twice.
