"The Lonely Cowboy"

Words by Jon Baty      Art by Aron Simkins

Life can be quite lonely,

When you’re out there on the range.

Weeks and months without companionship,

Can make a man feel strange.

Your mind, it’s starts to wander

Your feelings start to change.

Life can be so lonely,

When you’re out there on the range.

Life can be so lonely,

When you’re sleeping in the brush.

A cactus starts a’ winking,

Which can make a cowboy blush.

She puts her arms up in the air,

Her bosom looks so plush.

Life can be so lonely,

When you’re sleeping in the brush.

Life can be so lonely,

When your heart is not content.

The cactus can’t stop flirting,

And you smell her lovely scent.

She moves her hips so lightly,

She is one sweet succulent.

Life can be so lonely,

When your heart is not content.

Life can be so lonely

When you’re out there, I admit.

That cactus starts to call your name,

And you plead with her to quit.

Yet there she is before you,

Her body is legit.

Life can be so lonely,

When you’re out there, I admit.

Life can be so lonely,

When no woman you have got.

16 years out in the desert,

Seems like an awful lot.

Of not knowing a woman’s touch,

This may be your only shot

To make love to that cactus,

And holy shart, it hurts like a mother forker!
